Empowering Providers with Cutting-Edge Fiber Network Engineering Solutions
Our ProcessWe begin by assessing the feasibility and potential of fiber deployment using GIS-driven analysis and custom autodesign tools—laying a solid, data-backed foundation for success.
Our experts craft a strategic network architecture optimized for scalability and reliability. Design changes are automatically validated with custom QC and integrated into the full design pipeline.
We perform field surveys using the Katapult platform, capturing real-world conditions to validate design assumptions and prepare for permitting and pole loading analysis.
Detailed configurations—including fiber assignments, routing, and make ready recommendations—are engineered to match permitting requirements, construction realities, and customer-specific standards.
Using AutoCAD Civil 3D integrated with GIS, we create precise construction drawings and plan sets. Revisions flow seamlessly from design updates, keeping everything aligned and accurate.
We proactively coordinate with permitting authorities, track revisions, manage submittals across portals, and integrate changes back into design—ensuring nothing delays your path to construction.
Custom GIS autodesign tools speed feasibility and economic analysis. We transform and integrate any dataset to streamline design and decision-making.
Learn MoreDigital pole surveys with Katapult bridge field data to design. We engage permit authorities early and engineer to their exact specs.
Learn MoreAutoCAD Civil 3D integrates seamlessly with GIS for efficient revisions. We manage permitting from start to finish, keeping construction moving.
Learn MoreAutomated design and QC connect GIS, CAD, and fiber assignments. We custom-code integrations to deliver faster, smarter, and more reliable results.
Learn MoreAt Navigant Networks, we’re redefining how fiber optic networks are designed and delivered. We specialize in fully integrated, automated solutions for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) deployments—bridging the gap between traditional engineering practices and modern technology. From the first feasibility study to the final permit approval, our end-to-end process is engineered for speed, accuracy, and adaptability.
What sets us apart is not only our technical capability but our deep, hands-on experience in the field. We understand what works on paper, in software, and—most importantly—in the real world. By combining robust GIS and CAD workflows with field-verified pole surveys and intelligent automation, we generate ready-to-construct deliverables earlier and keep that momentum moving forward, even when priorities shift or permit requirements change.
With decades of combined experience, the Navigant team brings unmatched domain expertise and agility to every project. Our custom-built tools and integrations are tailored to each client’s system of record, ensuring seamless alignment between planning, design, construction, and long-term network management.
Navigant Networks was founded by Sarah and Chris Bomar, a husband-and-wife team united by a shared passion for bridging the digital divide through smarter fiber network design.
Chris brings over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, starting his career as a cable lineman. With firsthand experience in network construction and engineering, he understands the challenges from the ground up. He began programming in his teens, and today, his deep expertise spans OSP design, network planning, GIS, and full-stack software development. This unique blend of field knowledge and technical skill allows him to create scalable, custom automation tools that directly enhance engineering workflows. Chris is driven by the belief that design should not only be accurate and efficient, but also adaptable to the ever-changing realities of construction and permitting.
Sarah brings 8 years of telecom experience with a focus on fiber optic network design, permitting, drafting, and fielding. She is highly proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Katapult platform, leading the charge in turning high-level network strategies into detailed, buildable plans. Her attention to detail and understanding of permitting complexities ensure that projects stay on track and ready for construction.
Together, Sarah and Chris combine real-world experience, technical precision, and a commitment to continuous improvement—delivering fiber network solutions that are engineered to last and built to adapt.
